Chayanne reacted to the robbery of his parents who were victims in Gurabo and urged criminals to respect the privacy of citizens.
“Yesterday I received a call about the robbery at my parents’ house and, although this news bothered me much, the important thing was knowing that they were fine.
I did not want to comment anything about it, but I think it is a good opportunity to make a call of conscience to all who think they have the right to violate the privacy of individuals, it is not right: I invite you to respect, tolerate, care but above all, to be examples for our children. Instead of doing wrong, we will grow well for tomorrow, ourselves or those who follow us, to get good results,” said Chayanne to El Nuevo Dia, via a press release.
Police reported an escalation in the home of singer Chayanne in Gurabo, but then the artist said it was in the residence of his parents.
According to the police report the residence is located in the urbanization Santa Barbara Valley Road #181 of that municipality.
“Someone broke the rear door of the residence, making access to the interior, appropriating a monitor recorder, security camera and a safe. This residence is owned by the singer Chayanne,” reads the document from the police.

Chayanne has never been approached to join “Pequeños Gigantes,” according to his manager.
“I’ve never discussed it with anybody,” Chayanne’s manager Patty Vega said in El Vocero, denying information from various media.
“It’s not true,” she added. “For now we are happy and working hard in the next production,” said Vega.
The reality show “Pequeños Gigantes” returns April 15 with Chayanne, Yuri and Arath de la Torre as part of the jury.
This reality show will air on Sunday at 8:00 pm on the “Canal de las Estrellas.”
Chayanne achieved gold record status for more than 30,000 copies sold in Mexico from his latest album A Solas Con Chayanne, which was recorded at the National Auditorium during his recent tour, No Hay Imposible.
No Hay Imposible is considered the best and longest running tour for Chayanne, and one of the most important in Latin America, USA and Spain in 2011 and for which he won the Billboard Award for Latin Music in the category Best Live Show.
