Wednesday, April 7th of this year will remain in the memories of thousands of Tucumanas that attended Chayanne’s show in this province. But in addition, as one of his fans (enjoying of some privileges) Daisy May Queen was there to see the show, and later to meet face to face with he idol. "You know how I am …"
I suspect that after I write this chronicle many of you will hate me. In spite of that, I cannot help but share it with you. You know how I am. My mouth is bigger than my face.
Location, Tucuman, I was invited by the manager and record company of CHAYANNE to be witness to his show at the ATLETICO DE TUCUMAN. Upon arriving at the hotel I was informed that Chayanne would be waiting to meet me at his suite as soon as he awoke from his much deserved siesta. Enough time to run to the hair salon, shower, do my makeup and put on the sexiest outfit I could find. Finally my telephone rings and I am told I can go to the 7th floor where he was staying. The elevator, hallway and before me a door partially open. I knock respectfully and am invited in and…the first thing my eyes find is HIM, freshly showered, in a white bathrobe, smiling and lifting his arms to give me a hug. Oh my God, I thought, this is TOO MUCH. I hugged him, congratulating him for this success and tour especially this one tour in Argentina. But between us, in my mind, there were other thoughts. He invites me to his bedroom where the bed is unmade, which is to be expected following a siesta. My mind is being invaded…
"A Man as Professional as he is Sexy"
We sit in a comfortable sofa along with his personal assistant, his manager, and Carlos Capacho of Sony Music. The talk was warm and fun, but in reality, who thinks of the words before this supreme man? Beyond the physical attributes, Chayanne is as professional as he is sexy. He does not stop worrying for one moment about his show which was to begin in several hours. And he takes care of ALL the details. We finally leave towards the stadium in his car, accosted by the warmth of his fans from not only the exit of the hotel but to the arrival at ATLETICO DE TUCUMAN as well…
We were given privileged seats to see the show, in the sound console, only a few meters from the center of the action.
"The Fabric of Sensual Movements"
Sounds of Salome, fireworks and there makes his entrance the fabric of sensual movements. He and his sweat, the only protagonists on stage. Two thousand five hundred people fall captivated before the powerful energy of his body. His movements are powerful, absolute and magical. Chayanne lifts his arms pointing towards the public and chooses each of his spectators. He makes you a part of it. He moves you. You feel like going on stage and so begins the seduction based on dance steps. There is also time for breathing. Seated, on a stool, he delivers slow ballads that he loves to sing. And once again his body begins to move as if possessed by an erotic demon. It’s as if he has two forces within him. One, the timid and loving, where he smiles and becomes embarrassed, the other that awakens on stage, who provokes, tempts, perturbs, and transmits an uncontrollable sexual energy. I think that after a CHAYANNE concert you are just as tired as he is.
End of show with BAILA BAILA. Chayanne exits to his car, to the hotel for a reperative shower. I think it’s what we all need, a cold, cold, shower.

Caption in Article: The Tour of the Year
From March 25th, when Chayanne debuted in Santa Fe with his national tour, the Puerto Rican artist was carrying out a tour comparable only to artists such as Luis Miguel or any other well known group. The chance being taken was large, but his antecedents were justification for the challenge. Frequent visits to the country, television programs and a first rate movie which he starred in, and lastly a super selling album which converted him into the most successful artist within present time in all musical genres.
That is how a tour was planned that included some of the most important locations in the country such as Rosario, San Juan, La Rioja, Tucuman, Bahia Blanca, Salta and intermittent escapes to Uruguay and Paraguay.
In Buenos Aires, four shows were first announced at the Luna Park stadium whose tickets sold out one month prior to the event which was a total of 35 thousand spectators in four shows. With such a panorama, the organizers decided to add a new final show at the Boca Juniors Stadium and where Enrique Iglesias is scheduled to perform soon.
The tour, the most important for a foreign artist will be one of the greatest musical events of 1999. Two hundred and seventy thousand people saw Chayanne during his tour. The tour began in February in the Dominican Republic.
