La Movida - "The New Owner of the Throne"

There are certain moments in the career of all artists that they remember years later as being high points full of fame and success. If at some time someone would review the career of the young Puerto Rican, Chayanne, they would see this phase of his life as a moment of unbelievable popularity; at least in this part of the world. Today, the creator of "Atado a tu amor", boasts (without horns or whistles, but with sacrifice and hard work) the number one position in Latin Music. He shares the rankings with consecrated musicians that have decades long careers; he elbows with Hollywood stars (where he landed in 1998 to be in all theatres of the continent); he displays success that go beyond the boundaries of music as was the case with his movie "Dance with Me", and to top off what has been immeasurable, he embarks on a tour through Argentina that is of unique proportions (15 shows in almost 20 days in the major cities of the country) and its magnitude (in total over 270 thousand spectators). If it is true that someone in many years would like to understand the phenomenon of Chayanne, they would have no other choice than to visit Argentina and speak with his fans that filled to capacity the stadium at Boca and four times in Luna Park.
