Sings In Front of 42.000 People

Even though he presented the same show that he had presented six months ago as part od his "Atado a tu Amor" tour, Chayanne caused total hysteria among the 42.000 people that last 12 of December were in front of the outside steps of the Puerto Rico's Capitolio south area.

The attractive artist closed "Christmas under the stars" event, a gift for the people from the legislative Assembly. Apparently, nobody in the island wanted to miss the opportunity of seeing this idol for free, cause since early in the afternoon his fans started to settle as close as possible to the three levels platform, that was built in this part of Old San Juan. This place was not the most appropiate one, as visibility was not the best. Some decided to climb the trees and scaffolds, risking their lives. Many people think that San Felipe Morro Castle would had been more adequate.

Before Chayanne appeared, the audience was entertained by Limite 21 and Daniela Droz, who heat up the atmosphere with their merengue rythm. But everybosy was waiting for the Boricua's star, who at about 9:40 p.m. entered the stage through a cloth piramy, that was used to show the spectacle, as well as videos and images from Puerto Rico. His six dancers, that were full of energy and sensuality were with him.   The night started with "Salomé" and it went on with "Mira Ven Ven", "Volver a Nacer" and a potpourri of "Fiesta en América" and "Soleil Soleil". ("Puerto Rico! Thank you very much for being here. I want to welcome all of you. I am Puerto Rican and I feel proud of being so. I am pleased to be here at this time of the year", he said in front of the audience). He went on with "Atado a tu Amor", "Ramito de Flores", "Guajira" and "Este Ritmo se Baila Así". During thid last one, Chayanne got a fright, cause he sliped up during the choreography and he was thrown from first to second level. He staggered a little, but he didn't fall and went on dancing, not before doing a gesture "I almost kill myself". His dancers made him a joke: they held him in their arms and took him from one to the other part of the stage.

He changes his clothes in three occasions
The event went on with "Tiempo de Vals", where he invited a fan to dance with him, "Enamorados", "Refugio de Amor","Tal Vez es Amor", "Solo Traigo mi Ritmo" and "Soy Como un Niño". The singer, who changed his clothes three times during the night, caused that girls were near the hysteria when he opened his shirt and they could see his great abdominals. He gave his best as he put a lot of energy in dancing, but this prevented him from speaking to the audience.

The sound is not good for his show
"Dejaría Todo", "Baila Baila" and "Salomé" again were the last songs performed in "Christmas under the stars", that ended at midnight with a fireworks rain. The Puerto Rico's Legislative Assembly's show did its duty. But it must be said that some production things didn't work fine. For example the sound was not the best and there were lot of desorganization in the backstage area. The handicapped were seated in places where they couldn't even see Chayanne's back. It's a pity that the producer of this great show, Maritza Casiano, hadn't think in such important details, that seem small, but they are bad for Puerto Rican's star image.
