Interview to Chayanne in the TV Guide of Puerto Rico

Followed from hotel to hotel
In recent days we traveled to the City of Sun, Miami to speak to the beloved
of Puerto Rico, Chayanne. Our encounter was in the Big Time Studio, located
in Washington Avenue, South Beach. We find the same boy: the untiring
worker of noble heart. Being witnesses of the dificult world of show bussines,
we initiated our dialogue with Chayanne, ask him if it has been worthy
been the good boy, the humble one, the one that never has involved in
any scandals.
"Sure, has been worthy it. I'm happy been that way. I have not been a
headache for my parents and I think that also is something that you have
to think about it. But ,also I have done it (to be honest) by myself,
because I have not found the necessity to do other things; I am happy
to be that way and I enjoy what I do ".
To have been so vertical .Has been a more difficult for you followed
certain paths?
"Because I believe that by lack of scandals I have not been in many places...
"
What you understand is the secret not to fall into temptations that
carries fame and money?
" You have to keep your feet on the ground; to give value of what really
is important. To know, that any of those things (the temptations) can
take you to a precipice, and can make you lost a little bit ".
We know about Chayanne's talent, but without a doubt his greater "
talent " before the eyes of the women, is his physique. For that reason,
many women approach him and flirt , knowing that he's a married man (with
Marilisa Maronese) and obviously, this women try that Chayanne knows their
intentions.
" Yes... you can flirt , but in a good way, because it is your profession.
The artist is for the people and he's someone because of the people. Now,
I come back and say, I know what I have in my house. In addition, you
think about all the diseases... "
We suppose, that you must at least have experienced a case of some
woman who beyond being one fan, has an obsession with you, we indicated
to him.
" Well... yes. They had followed me, I don't know if it's a persecution,
but I know that they had followed me. In countries like Spain or Argentina,
while I am in concert, I have seen the same girl in the same hotel (where
I stay) and then following me through many concerts by several cities.
You can say, ' It could be dangerous.
Neverthless, Chayanne never has hired bodyguards in this kind of situation.
"Basically the security that I have is when I arrive to the stage or
when he is in a country totally unknown (new as far as the experience
to face the public)".
Did you take advise according of what you are going to wear to wake
up some passions in women?
" No, no, no... I dress according to the fashion and what I understand
is good for me and according with the occasion. I have my people, my management,
my designer who advise me , and say to me ' this you good for you', 'take
off this jacket' , 'sweaters are better' and the shirts with short sleeves,
do not use necktie, that makes you look older'. They advise two or three
things to me, but , I must be contented with what I am going to wear.
You know that I like to do exercises and to maintain in a good condition
because of my work. I try to take care of me and it's a physical reaction
and that could help me".
It's a generalized practice that when a famous artist visits a country,
the people with economic and politic power makes special requests so that
their relatives and friends can share in an intimate way more with a celebrity.
Inclusively, special concessions are asked for, because the artist is
going to know the daughter of this person or that person , to attend private
parties, etc.
The boy of San Lorenzo explains." Well, before arriving at a country where
you have promotional plans , you can go to celebrations which they invite
you and they present the daughters of certain people. They invite you
to have dinner with politicians, people in the entertainment world and
others. Some you can do it, others not... "
Have you felt in some occasions that you have to salute a young girl
with the clear intention to cause a meeting because she's is in love with
you?
" Perhaps I have been in celebrations and places where, by my career I
had to go, but I have not seen it in that way... Sure, yes and I have
not realized about that ... or I have not been in difficult situations.
About the letters that star of the film "Dance with Me" receives, Chayanne
says. "The office (Chaf Enterprises) controls the mail. And part of that
arrive to me. I answer those that I can, like a simple hello.
We assumed that you receive some erotic letters...
" Eee... yes; I have received proposal letters... Let's me putting that
way, I have received nice letters, (he smile).
Have you received letters of men as much as women?
"Until now I have received letters of women... Yes I have received letters
of boys whom they like my music ", concluded Chayanne, not without before
commenting humorous, to get away letters of his men fans, " that what
Paula says to me " (who works in his office)
Chayanne is happy with his recent album "Simplemente. It contains
13 songs, from ballads to Latin songs in his peculiar style. These are:
"Simplemente", " Oye mar (dedicated to Puerto Rico), "Hasta que el
alma resista ", " Te Necesito", " Candela", " Ay, mamá ", " Mi cafetal
", " Yo te amo" Las horas pasan ", " Mariana Mambo " and "Cuando
el amor se va" , a duet with Rubén Blades.
